He said to a stranger, hey ye, how art thou? No response. Hey ye, how well art thy ears? Still the same, no response. He looks at the stranger, but the stranger does not see him. Hey, ye, said he to the stranger, but still the same for the third time, no response. He thoughts, I speak, yet he ignores me, so let me face him. He turns in front of the stranger, and the stranger looks like, what are you trying to do in front of me? But he said, hey ye, I spoke to thou, yet thee ignore me. The stranger does not respond but looking at him sharply, like what do you want? Before he boils up his anger, somebody comes to the two, and said to him, why are you speaking to my friend? You should not speak, for he cannot hear you. The stranger smiles, and signed to the somebody, ME THINK HE WANT WHAT TALK-TO-ME.
He said to the stranger, hey ye, why are thou signing? But the somebody said to him, why did you not listen to me? I said that you should not speak, for he cannot hear you. The stranger smiles, and signed to the somebody, LET’S-GO. Wait, for a second, said he to the somebody, how come that thou understand his hands speaking?
I told you that he cannot hear.
Is he deaf?
With a big capital D, Deaf.
With what? But the stranger said to the somebody, LET’S-GO, PLEASE.
